The Indian Army has conducted Exercise Yudh Kaushal 3.0 in the high-altitude Kameng region of Arunachal Pradesh, showcasing its preparedness for next-generation warfare in extreme Himalayan conditions.

Observed by the General Officer Commanding of Gajraj Corps, the exercise featured large-scale manoeuvres with drone surveillance, precision strikes, real-time target acquisition, air–littoral operations and synchronized battlefield tactics.

According to Indian Army, a major highlight was the operational debut of the newly raised ASHNI platoons, designed to integrate advanced technology with traditional combat skills for decisive battlefield advantage.

The exercise also marked the active participation of the Indian defence industry, reflecting the push for indigenous innovation under the vision of self-reliance, the army added.

Army officials said Yudh Kaushal 3.0 validated combat effectiveness in harsh terrain while reinforcing the force’s shift towards multi-domain operations and adoption of emerging technologies.
