A journey through Mystic Falls, Hawkins, and more

Away from reality, there’s a fictional place in the world that feels like home – and you can’t get over it even after binge-watching multiple series. Some might feel like a daydream, others would be a hoax, but a place where you land your imagination will always be special.

From a hope that someone with fangs would turn you into a vampire in Mystic Falls to fighting for your life in Hawkins, the supernatural places remain close to the fans' hearts after experiencing pounding heartbeats just through the screens. Let’s dive into the fictional world and relive the aches, adorable moments, and unforgettable places!

Hawkins and (the upside down) - 'Stranger Things'

From the outside, Hawkins would look like any other normal town with a bunch of friends obsessed with a perplexing board game, a sassy sister, and an innocent girl with a tattoo on her wrist, along with an adorable duo at a random ice cream shop in a newly opened mall.

However, the roots certainly go deep inside the upside-down world with a darker reality and monsters. Hawkins has seen iconic love stories being formed and mysterious deaths, with the portals that would bring the world to its end.

With multiple ironies toppling the situation, the city has seen things that you wouldn’t even wish on your enemy.

New Orleans - 'The Originals'

Oh, the art and drama of the city! With a rich history of varied supernatural creatures, it would certainly be a delight to watch the gorgeous original vampires walking down the streets while sipping some tea.

The city has mornings with paintings in the front yards, and the jazz-filled nights in the backyards. New Orleans might sound majestic, but the beasts run the city without a care for the law. The city saw a one-of-a-kind tribrid, along with cold-hearted rivalries, turning into a brotherhood – which suddenly turns into a revenge trap.

You never know what will bring you to your door when the sun sets and the night begins, that is only if there isn’t a dagger in your heart.

Mystic Falls - 'The Vampire Diaries'

While some kids figure out whether it’s Elena or Katherine, another ball happens at the mansion or a blood-involving drama at high school. Mystic Falls saw the never-ending trauma, from mysterious deaths to the entire town being taken over, and endless love triangles. The town was constantly plagued by supernatural creatures, making the need for vervain even stronger. There might be debate over who Elena should’ve ended up with, but there is no debate that Damon and Stefan truly adhered to their brother’s bond.

Mystic Falls might be toxic, but it’s home for various fans, and some can even truly figure out a way around it.

Hogwarts - 'Harry Potter'

As the spells echo in the secret chambers, Professor Snape might just strut around the hallways with his huge cape. The three musketeers found their way through dangerous games of Quidditch, a human-sized chess match, and blatant hatred of Draco Malfoy. Hogwarts reminds everyone that the place might just be as dangerous as it gets, but few people would happily make you family.

The dream of going to the 9 1/3 platform remained unfulfilled, but it’s never too late to binge-watch or read the story of the iconic Harry Potter.

Gotham City - 'The Batman'

The cursed city that consumes darkness, Gotham City, has the shadow alleys that can comfort you, knowing that Batman is ready to be there. However, it’s the place that Batman can’t really save, no matter how much effort he puts in; the corruption wins in the end. Channeling the iconic lines of ‘The winner takes it all / the loser has to fall,’ Gotham City is wounded with eternal struggle and madness.
