Flyovers at Edappally Junction likely to be opened by August

A pair of flyovers that are being built on either side of the bottlenecked Edappally Junction, where National Highway (NH) 66 intersects NH 544, would be opened to motorists by August, if works went ahead as planned, reliable sources said.

Already, 70% of work is over on the flyovers that are located in front of Oberon Mall on the southern side of Edapally Junction, and the other in front of LuLu Group office located on the northern side of the junction. The initial slowdown in construction works due to difficulty in procuring mud had been overcome, with sand being dredged from the sea being made available for the work, they added.
