Garbage clearance, road repairs along procession routes, idol height restrictions and curbs on noise pollution emerged as the key focus areas at a coordination meeting held to plan for the 46th mass Ganesh idol immersion in Hyderabad. Officials stressed the need for timely sanitation drives, smooth traffic movement and safe conduct of processions, while also urging organisers to cooperate on noise control during the festivities.

The meeting, convened at the Exhibition Grounds under the aegis of the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samiti, was attended by Samiti President Raghavareddy, senior members Shashidhar Reddy and Govind Rathi, the police commissioners of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda and several mandap organisers.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand said he had already conducted zone-wise reviews with police officials and instructed them to ensure there were no lapses in the arrangements. He noted that poor garbage clearance had caused problems such as stray dog menace and disturbances near places of worship, warning that these could pose a risk to law and order if left unattended. He urged municipal officials to take swift action to resolve the issue.

Mr. Anand also pressed the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation to repair potholes and undertake patchwork along the procession routes in coordination with the police. He reminded organisers to exercise caution over the height of idols being transported. Addressing the health hazards of high decibel music, he appealed for cooperation in curbing DJ use during the festivities. He assured that the Hyderabad city police would extend full support to ensure the celebrations proceeded smoothly.
