The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) advised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to focus on governance and administration instead of blaming the Centre for the State’s issues.

“It’s not good for the State. You (CM) should take the responsibility for your actions. There’s nothing wrong in seeking funds and projects from the Centre, but you came to power with several promises. Why hasn’t ‘Rythu Bharosa’ been fully rolled out? What happened to the stipend for unemployed youth? Where are the promised jobs?” questioned BJP State president N. Ramchander Rao on Saturday.

During an informal interaction with mediapersons at the party’s State office, Mr. Rao remarked that Mr. Revanth Reddy had scored a half-century of visits to Delhi but continues to target the BJP and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy.

He pointed out that Telangana has not had Group 1 officers for 11 years due to the previous BRS government’s neglect and warned that the absence of senior State cadre civil servants could lead to an “administrative vacuum.”

Criticising Mr. Revanth Reddy’s stance on talks with Maoists, Mr. Rao said, “The Centre’s policy is clear - no talks. Naxalites have been asked to lay down arms. Our party sees no difference between Left-wing extremism and cross-border terrorism. Where are the Maoists getting their weapons and funds from? Previous talks held by a Congress government only led to more encounters.”

The former MLC acknowledged gaps in the Election Commission’s efforts to maintain clean voter lists but asserted that “vote theft” is impossible.

He accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of spreading fear among citizens about voters’ lists and urged the EC to remove bogus and duplicate voters and simplify the deletion process.

Mr. Rao added that the BJP’s candidate for the Jubilee Hills by-election will be announced once the election committee is formed.
