Police tracked down a foreign national who was allegedly peddling drugs based on a tip-off received through a call to the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning-based 112 Command Centre.

The centre, set up under the safe city project, received an anonymous call alerting them about a foreigner talking about drugs over the phone. The police personnel at the centre traced the origin of the call and dispatched beat officers to the location.

Assistant sub-inspector Dayananda Swamy and assistant head constable Prabhakar reached Chikkabanahalli, near Kadugodi, where they located the foreign national. Upon questioning, the individual identified himself as Miracle Nwachekku, 29. Subsequently, the police reportedly found him in possession of 361 ecstasy pills worth ₹8 lakh.

A senior police officer said the accused has been taken to the Foreigners’ Regional Registration Office, and his details were being verified.
