In a poignant act of devotion, late Y.V.S.S. Bhaskar Rao, a former Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer from Hyderabad, bequeathed a residential property valued at ₹3 crore and ₹66 lakh in cash to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) through his will.

The donated residence, a 3,500 square foot home named ‘Ananda Nilayam’ in Vanasthalipuram, was explicitly designated in his will for use in spiritual and religious activities under the administration of the TTD. In addition to the property, he also earmarked ₹66 lakh from his personal bank accounts to be contributed to six different trusts managed by the TTD.

Fulfilling his final wish, the trustees M. Devaraj Reddy, V. Satyanarayana, and B. Lokanath formally handed over the property documents and donation cheques to TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary at the Ranganayakula Mandapam within the Tirumala temple premises on Thursday morning. Mr. Chowdary lauded the noble act of the donor and felicitated the trustees.

In another philanthropic act, the Hyderabad-based Trinity Combine Private Limited donated ₹2 crore to TTD’s Annaprasadam trust. The representatives of the company handed over multiple cheques to Mr. Chowdary at the temple.
