Veteran Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] leader and former Kerala Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan, 101, continued to remain in a stable condition at the intensive care unit (ICU) of a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram for the third consecutive day on Wednesday (June 25, 2025), according to a medical bulletin from the hospital.
His condition is being monitored closely by a medical team consisting of specialists.
Mr. Achuthanandan was admitted to the hospital on Monday after the centenarian experienced “mild” breathing difficulties.
Political leaders, including Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Leader of the Opposition V.D. Satheesan, called on his family at the hospital over the past three days.
