Four held with 3 kg pangolin scales in Dima Hasao

Silchar: The Dima Hasao forest department, in coordination with the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau (WCCB), on Saturday seized 3kg pangolin scales, officials said. Four individuals have been arrested in connection with the seizure.Divisional forest officer Tuhin Langthasa said the accused have been identified as Forid Ali, Hifjur Rahman Barbhuiya, Imran Hussain Barbhuiya and Rafiqul Islam Barbhuiya. “Strict legal measures will continue against those involved in poaching and smuggling of endangered species,” Langthasa said.
