Four persons of a gang arrested on charge of duping job seekers in Vizianagaram

As many as seven unemployed youngsters were cheated by a gang which misled them with fake appointment orders and collected ₹53 lakh from them, according to Vizianagaram DSP M. Srinivasa Rao.

Mr. Srinivasa Rao said that a person named K. Sai Venkat Sujit assured them of outsourcing jobs in Amaravati secretariat through a posting in the Facebook. Many youngsters of Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Parvatipuram-Manyam and Anakapalli districts approached him and other members of the gang. Later, the accused Sai Venkat had taken to them to the secretariat and made them to stay in Vijayawada for a month.

The youngsters who were given the fake appointment letters waited patiently for the posting. After knowing about the cheating, one victim S.Vinod filed case in the One Town police station. Vizianagaram Circle Inspector S. Srinivas and team inquired into the complaint and understood that a gang of nine persons were involved in the crime. They arrested Ch. Mahesh, Rubin Kumar, John and Yakub immediately. They said that they would also arrest the main accused Sai Venkat. who is currently hospitalised due to health issues. Vizianagaram SP Vakul Jindal congratulated the DSP M.Srinivasa Rao, Circle Inspector S.Srinivas and others for quickly solving the case.
