Jamshedpur: Four trains, including two express trains, will now terminate at Adityapur railway station in place of Tatanagar. The Chakradharpur railway division of South Eastern Railways (SER), in a statement on Friday, said the new arrangement will become effective from Feb 5.The move, officials of the Chakradharpur railway division said, is aimed at reducing the load of train movement at Tatanagar railway station, which is currently being developed as a model station. Plans are afoot to develop Adityapur as a terminal station for Tatanagar. As a part of preparations, the Tatanagar-Hatia-Tatanagar Memu was run for a month from Adityapur in 2025.In its notification, the SER said the (68035/36) Hatia-Adityapur-Hatia Memu will terminate at Adityapur from Feb 5 onwards along with the 13301/2 Dhanbad-Adityapur-Dhanbad Subarnarekha Express.The (13511/12) Adityapur–Asansol-Adityapur Express (tri-weekly) will terminate at Adityapur from Feb 6 while the (20815/16) Visakhapatnam–Tatanagar Express will start their journey and terminate at Adityapur station on Mar 29 and Mar 30 respectively.
