FIFA has announced that the ticket sales process for the 2026 World Cup will officially begin this month, with prices ranging from $60 for group-stage seats to as high as $6,710 for the final.

The pricing will vary depending on demand, the governing body confirmed on Wednesday, outlining a multi-phase ticketing program for what will be the largest World Cup in history.

Ticket Prices and Packages

Fans will be able to purchase a range of options, including single-game tickets, venue-specific passes, and team-specific packages. FIFA said the dynamic pricing system means costs could fluctuate depending on demand across the 104 matches.

The 2026 tournament will feature a record 48 teams competing in 39 cities across the United States, Canada, and Mexico between June 11 and July 19, 2026.

For fans hoping to secure early access, those with Visa cards can register for a FIFA ID on the official website to enter a presale draw. That randomized draw will run from September 10 to 19, with successful applicants eligible to apply for tickets starting October 1.

Sales Caps and Phased Access

To ensure fairness and prevent mass buying, FIFA confirmed that sales will be capped at four tickets per person per match, with no individual allowed to purchase more than 40 tickets in total during the tournament.

The first phase of sales will be followed by a second window, with registration from October 27-31 and sales running from mid-November through early December.

A third phase will launch shortly after the official tournament draw, which will be held on December 5 in Washington, D.C. That stage will allow fans to apply for tickets to specific matches, once the fixture list is finalized.

As the tournament approaches, FIFA confirmed that remaining inventory will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, similar to previous editions of the World Cup.

Supporter Options and Resale Platform

In addition to standard tickets, FIFA announced the introduction of supporter-specific options. These include:

  • Supporter tickets: seats allocated in designated sections for fans of a particular team.
  • Conditional supporter tickets: reservations for potential knockout-round matches, which guarantee access if the fan’s chosen team advances.

FIFA will also launch an official resale platform, allowing ticket holders to safely transfer or resell their tickets in the buildup to the tournament.
