Extremely vocal and highly opinionated Dallas Cowboys legend Michael Irvin did not hold back his views when America’s Team lost to the Denver Broncos by an embarrassing 44-24 score on Sunday’s matchup.

The NFL legend took to X and wrote, “This CAN NOT be an @NFL defense that’s wearing the @dallascowboys helmets !!!!!!” Former Cowboys defensive end Micah Parsons was traded to the Green Bay Packers—owner Jerry Jones acquired defensive tackle Kenny Clark in return.

But how did that fare for Dallas in a crucial game? Even Clark admitted in the post-game interview, “It’s self-inflicting wounds. Especially in the first half.

Just a lot of inconsistencies.” As of Week 8 of the 2025 NFL season, the Dallas Cowboys’ total defense is ranked last in the league —both in total yards and passing yards allowed.

Jerry Jones sent the Cowboys’ best defensive player, Micah Parsons, off, then didn’t pick one up in free agency

Fans flooded in their views after the three-time Super Bowl champion Michael Irvin declared on X: “This cannot be an NFL defense that’s wearing Dallas Cowboys helmets.” One fan pointed out that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones sent Dallas’ best defensive player, Micah Parsons, off and did not pick anyone in free agency: “We the worst defense in the league bruh.

Lol Jerry sent our best defensive player off, then didn’t pick one up in free agency, now we a soup sandwich on defense lmao.

” Another fan vouched for Parsons: “Name a player drafted on defense recently that has impact not named micah or even diggs 1 yr and bland 1 yr.”

Jerry Jones endorsed Cowboys defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus

Another fan mentioned Jones endorsing defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus (the one who coached Caleb Williams in his rookie season with the Chicago Bears, and where the rookie alleged he did not receive sufficient guidance): “Remember… Jerry endorsed Eberflus.

Jerry said we had a real strength at pass rushers. Remember Jerry said we would be better vs the run against Micah. We had the #1 offense in the league and Jerry has paired that with thee worst defense in the league.

The Cowboys didn’t touch Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix all game

A fan called the Cowboys' defense “trash” and said Parsons covered it up with his instant pass rushing skills, “TRRRRRAAAAASSSSSHHHHH . It’s not just the DC ! OUR PLAYERS JUST AINT THAT GOOD ! Micah covered up a lot of this mess with his instant pass rush !” A fan declared that the Cowboys did not touch Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix all game: “Trade Micah lol, we haven’t even touched Nix all game. Jerry is a fool.”Also Read: “A third Cowboys generation will never know,” says Cowboys legend, Michael Irvin panickily | NFL News - The Times of India
