The State-level FYUGP (four-year undergraduate programme) monitoring committee has finalised a model uniform academic calendar for the 2026-27 academic year for universities in Kerala.
For the first time, students will receive a semester break during a one-week valuation camp conducted on campuses after the first, third, and fifth semester examinations. These examinations have been held internally since the introduction of the FYUGP in the State three years ago.
The valuation camps will be held from November 16 to 21 within the respective campuses. The structured valuation window is expected to expedite result publication and enhance administrative efficiency, official sources said.
Admission process
For first-year students, the admission process will begin within a week of the publication of Plus Two results, and the trial and final rank lists will be published on or before June 15. The first allotment of admission will be completed before June 20, followed by the second allotment by June 26 and the third allotment by July 4. The classes for first, second and third-year students will commence on July 1, according to the unified calendar.

The sixth-semester examinations are slated from April 1 to 13, 2027, and the results will be announced on or before May 25, 2027.
Notably, the calendar designates the period from April to May 2027 for second-year students to pursue and complete internship opportunities
