The State Executive Committee of the Government College Gazetted Teachers Association (GCGTA) met here on Sunday (December 21, 2025) and discussed key issues such as challenges faced by faculty members in Government Degree Colleges, current admissions scenario, academic development and the measures required to enhance educational standards.
MLC S. Ramakrishna, who attended the programme, shared insights into the education system and the functioning of government educational institutions in Finland, where he visited recently along with a delegation from the Education Department. Speaking about the Government colleges in the education system, he referred to the initiatives being undertaken by the government to improve educational standards.
The meeting was presided over by the association’s State president P. Gopala Naidu, while secretary Srinivasa Reddy briefed the members on the achievements of the State executive committee of the association.
Former State president Bhaskara Rao offered several suggestions to the members. The GCGTA State table calendar was released on the occasion. The programme was attended by the association’s State joint secretary K. Srinivas, vice presidents M. Venkata Seshaiah, presidents and secretaries from various districts, zonal secretaries, zonal vice-presidents and a large number of unit members from SRR and CVR Government Degree College.
