Story of 'Ghaati'
The trailer of 'Ghaati' has a raw and gritty theme. The trailer shows Anushka Shetty and Vikram Prabhu as a couple in love, living in the beautiful but rugged and difficult ghat. The film seems concerned with the plight of the poor locals, the "ghaati", who are used by smugglers to run contraband, especially ganja, across treacherous terrains.
Vikram Prabhu seems to work in a dispensary or medical center, and Anushka's character works as a bus conductor before becoming his wife. Ultimately, the couple appears to be rising against their local 'ghaat' smugglers to defeat the local community's oppressors.'Ghaati' marks the second collaboration between Anushka Shetty and director Krish after their successful outing in 'Vedam', which is still remembered for its strong storytelling.Originally slated to release on July 11, the film faced a delay but is now locked for September 5.
