Aizawl: Union secretary of the ministry of development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Chanchal Kumar, on Friday lauded the newly established ginger processing unit in Mizoram, noting that ginger has emerged as a major source of livelihood for thousands of farmers in the state, with production steadily rising.During his meeting with chief minister Lalduhoma at the CM’s office, Kumar emphasised that the ministry of DoNER attaches significant importance to the processing unit.The discussion also covered various developmental initiatives in Mizoram supported by the ministry. The CM urged early resolution of pending projects under DoNER and stressed the need to expedite approvals and fund sanctions, pointing out that delays often hamper timely implementation.CM Lalduhoma was accompanied by Vanlaldina Fanai, secretary to the CM.
