Gold Rate Today: Gold rates in India continued to decline, extending a six-day losing trend yesterday, with 24-carat, 22-carat, and 18-carat gold prices notably falling dramatically since the Diwali 5-day celebration began.
In six days, the price of 100 grammes of gold has fallen by Rs 76,900, while the price of 10 grammes of gold has dropped by Rs 7690, GoodReturns reported.
However, despite the recent strong drop, precious metals remain significantly higher, and the next major trend will be the imminent Fed rate decision and the evolution of global economic uncertainty.
The yellow metal is considered an ideal inflation hedge, with 24-carat gold being the most expensive form of gold and commonly used for investment purposes, while 22-carat gold and 18-carat gold are primarily utilised for jewellery.

The gold rates for today, October 24, are as follows: 24K gold is priced at Rs 12,546 per gram, witnessing a slight increase of Rs 38. 22K gold costs Rs 11,500 per gram, rising by Rs 35. Meanwhile, 18K gold is available at ₹9,409 per gram, with a price uptick of Rs 28.
