Good first step, but not a sufficient step: P Chidambaram on GST reforms

In an exclusive interview with India Today TV's Consulting Editor Rajdeep Sardesai, senior Congress leader and former Finance Minister P Chidambaram called the GST reforms a good first step, but not a sufficient step.

P Chidambaram said, "This is a good step. This is the first step. But this is not a sufficient step. This is a necessary step, but not a sufficient step."

He further added, First, they must review the GST laws. It's a very very complicated law. It's cumbersome to administer. It's very difficult to comply with the law. They must simplify the law. They must simplify the forms.
