Government forms panel for ‘Telugu Basha Puraskarams’

The State government on Tuesday constituted a three-member committee to select eminent literary persons for the Telugu Basha Puraskarams 2025.

“Telugu Basha Dinotsavam” is celebrated every year on August 29 to mark noted writer Sri Gidugu Ramamurthy Pantulu’s Jayanthi. The government presents “Telugu Basha Puraskarams” cash award of ₹25,000, a memento and shawl to each awardee.

The awardees will be selected by a committee. The State government issued a G.O. for the constitution of the committee with Avanigadda MLA Mandali Budha Prasad and A.P. State Creativity and Culture Commission Chairperson Podapati Tejaswi as members and Chief Executive Officer of A.P. State Creativity and Culture Commission R. Mallikarjuna Rao as convenor.
