Governor approves selection panel constitution for Calicut University V-C

Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar has approved the constitution of the search-cum-selection committee formed to make recommendations for the appointment of Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calicut.

According to an official release, the committee comprises Eluvathingal D. Jemmis, National Science Chair Professor (nominee of the Chancellor); Ravindra D. Kulkarni, Vice Chancellor, University of Mumbai (UGC nominee); and Sabu A., Member Secretary, Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (Syndicate nominee); as members. Raj Bhavan had on Monday issued a notification inviting applications for the post of Vice-Chancellor. The applications should be submitted to the Deputy Secretary, Raj Bhavan, on or before December 5. The appointment will be made in accordance with Section 10 of the Calicut University Act, 1975, and the UGC Regulations, 2018, a release stated.
