Grammy Winner Ricky Kej Alleges Zomato Delivery Guy ‘Robbed’ His Bengaluru Home

Grammy Award winner Ricky Kej shared a shocking incident in which a Zomato delivery guy trespassed his Bengaluru home and stole a sump cover.

The incident reportedly occurred when the delivery agent entered Kej’s home under the pretext of delivering an order and later fled with valuables. Kej took to Instagram to share a shocking incident.

Ricky Kej wrote, “I was robbed! Dear @zomato, @zomatocare, looks like one of your drivers entered my home on Thursday and stole our sump cover. This was at 6 o’clock in the evening. Quite bold of them! This is probably not their first time." He alleged that the person had visited the premises about 15 minutes earlier for a “recce" before trespassing and committing the theft.

Kej further said CCTV footage from two angles captured the incident and shared screenshots showing the suspect’s face and the two-wheeler used. He mentioned that the vehicle appeared to be a red Honda Activa bearing the number KA03HY8751.

Seeking assistance, Kej tagged Zomato, Zomato Care and Bengaluru City Police, asking if they could help identify the individual. He also urged the public to remain cautious, warning that similar incidents could happen to others.

The Grammy Award winner was born in North Carolina, USA, in 1981, and moved to Bengaluru with his family at the age of eight. He studied at Bishop Cotton School in the city and later completed a bachelor’s degree in dentistry from Oxford Dental College before pursuing music full time.

He began his career as a keyboardist for the band Angel Dust. In 2003, he founded his own studio, Raveolution, and became a full-time composer.

To date, Ricky Kej has released 24 studio albums and composed music for more than 3,500 commercials and eight feature films. His work is also marked by strong environmental advocacy, which has earned him the title of UN Global Humanitarian Artist and recognition from the Parliament of Canada.
