Gujarat government employee unions set a world record with 378 blood donation camps, collecting 56,265 units under Namo ke naam raktdan for PM Modi's birthday.

Gujarat government employee unions have set a world record on Tuesday by organising 378 blood donation camps and collecting 56,265 units of blood under ‘Namo ke naam raktdan‘ campaign ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17.
Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi, in a post on X, lauded the accomplishment, saying that this is the first time in Indian history that such a huge blood donation drive has been organised by government employees for a leader’s birthday.
“A historic moment in India! 🇮🇳 On the success of #OperationSindoor and Honourable PM @narendramodi Birthday, State Government employee unions have set a world record with ‘Namo ke naam raktdan’. They organized 378 mega blood donation camps, collecting a massive 56,265 units of blood!" he said on X.
Sanghavi said that the collected blood will be sent to Gujarat and neighbouring states to help thousands of people.
The Bharatiya Janata Party is organising nationwide blood donation camps as part of the two-week-long ‘Sewa Pakhwada’ to celebrate the Prime Minister’s birthday. The party has planned various events, including a cleanliness drive, ‘ek ped maa ke naam’ program, and exhibitions across the country highlighting the achievements of PM Modi.
As part of the Sewa Pakhwada, various exhibitions will be organised, which showcase the work done by PM Modi across the years to serve the nation. Along with the exhibition, a ‘Prabuddh Sammelan’ and various dialogues with distinguished people in their fields will be organised.
A Painting Competition on Viksit Bharat will be organised by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, to engage maximum participation from students and thereby link the youth with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Viksit Bharat 2047." The themes shall include “Viksit Bharat," “Atmanirbhar Bharat," and “Digital India."
