Gujarat's Junagadh police have arrested a man for allegedly strangling his wife following repeated arguments over his affair with another woman. The incident took place in Sardarpur village, involving a couple from Madhya Pradesh who worked as farm labourers on the outskirts of the village.
Authorities identified the accused as Nania Saste. Police said he had frequent disputes with his wife, Niyati, over his relationship with another woman and had decided to leave his wife to be with his lover.
On 18 October, at around 8 pm, Nania Saste reportedly confronted Niyati at the farm, leading to a heated argument. During the altercation, he allegedly strangled her to death.
Following the murder, Nania Saste is said to have sought help from his friend Jenu Solanki to remove evidence of the crime. Solanki, who has a criminal record in Madhya Pradesh, was also arrested.
Both suspects have been taken into custody and presented before the court. The police continue to investigate the case.
