Heavy overnight rains in parts of Telangana caused a section of an internal road near Amara Raja Batteries Limited in Mahabubnagar’s Divitipally village to cave-in early on Thursday (August 14, 2025), leaving a company bus stranded.

According to an official from the Mahbubnagar Rural police, the road, located about one kilometre off National Highway (NH) 44, gave way around 7 a.m. as the bus was heading to pick up employees for the morning shift. No one was injured in the incident. An alternate route is now being used to access the factory premises.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday night, the NH 44 service road near Satamrai experienced waterlogging due to rainfall in parts of Hyderabad, slowing traffic movement in the area. Commuters took the social media platforms to share pictures of the inundated road and traffic snarls in the area.
