Holiday for schools in Thiruvananthapuram Corporation limits on Tuesday

The Kerala government has declared a holiday for all government, aided, and unaided schools in the Thiruvananthapuram city Corporation limits on Tuesday (September 9, 2025) on account of a pageantry being held in connection with the finale of the Onam Week celebrations. The pageantry from Vellayambalam to East Fort will feature numerous floats and over a thousand artistes and could occasion traffic congestion in the city.

The loss of working day on Tuesday will be compensated on a Saturday this month, an order from the Director of General Education said on Monday.
