In a significant leap towards international collaboration, actor, producer and screenwriter Steven Seagal and his production house have officially expanded into the Indian film industry, appointing filmmaker Vikash Verma as director of its India operations in 2025.Seagal’s team wrote on X, “Steamroller Steven Seagal Productions has officially rolled into India! Steven Seagal and Dominic Seagal team up with Vikash Verma @g7_vikashverma of G7 Films to bring powerful stories to life. Bringing a legacy of action cinema to Indian audiences.” Vikash added, “It’s a new cinematic journey where east meets west, action meets artistry and legacy meets innovation.”Vikash said, “Seagal has set the stage for the creation of large-scale, globally appealing films and web series, with a strong focus on high-octane action franchises.

The production house aims to foster Indo-global cinematic collaborations, involving both seasoned and emerging talent. Next-generation actors Dominic Seagal (son of Steven Seagal) and Dhruv Verma, Vikash’s son will play pivotal roles in upcoming films and creative areas.

Several industry veterans took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their support: Sanjay Dutt and Suniel Shetty called the collaboration “a significant step.” Shekhar Suman hoped the partnership would create new opportunities. Gulshan Grover, too, tweeted calling it “huge news.”

Steven Seagal has been one of the most popular action stars and martial arts actor in Hollywood. He has acted in many Hollywood films including Under Seige 2, My Giant, The Patriot, Out of Reach among others. With him focussing on Bollywood now, there will be large-scale globally appealing films.
