Hongirana troupe to stage a play on March 23 in Shivamogga

Hongirana, a theatre troupe in Shivamogga, is set to stage the play, Pen, written by Shivakumar Mavali and directed by Sripad Bhat, at Kuvempu Rangamandir on March 23.

Hongirana theatre group director Sasvehalli Sathish, in a press conference in Shivamogga on Wednesday, said the play is being staged to mark the 30^th anniversary of the troupe. Chandrashekhar Shastri and Chandrashekhar Hiregonigere, two well-known actors of the troupe, would be playing the lead roles in the play that revolves around the life and works of a poet, he said.

Mr. Satish has appealed to theatre enthusiasts to watch the play.
