Hubballi-Jodhpur special train from Sept. 28

Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Pralhad Joshi has said that the Union government has sanctioned a Hubballi-Jodhpur direct train service considering the long-pending demand from the region.

In a press release issued from New Delhi, the Union Minister has termed it a gift to the people for the Ganesha festival.

“To start with, it will be a special train which will start operating in September. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has promised to convert it into a regular train subsequently,” Mr. Joshi has said.

The new special train to Bhagat Ki Kothi (Jodhpur, Train No 07359) will leave Hubballi at 7.30 p.m. on Sundays, starting September 28, and reach Bhagat Ki Kothi at 5.30 a.m. on Tuesdays.

Advance booking for the train has already begun. The train will run on September 28, October 5, 12 and November 26.

Mr. Joshi has thanked Mr. Vaishnaw and Minister of State for Railways V. Somanna for having fulfilled the long-pending demand of the people of the region.

Meanwhile, South Western Railway has in an official release said that Train Nos 07359 SSS Hubballi-Bhagat Ki Kothi Special train will leave SSS Hubballi at 7.30 p.m. on Sundays, from September 28 to November 26, and reach Bhagat Ki Kothi at 5.30 a.m. on Tuesdays.

In the return journey, Train No 07360 Bhagat Ki Kothi-SSS Hubballi special train will leave Bhagat Ki Kothi at 7.50 a.m. on Tuesdays, from September 30 to November 28, and reach Hubballi at 3.15 p.m. on Wednesdays.

En route, the train will stop at Dharwad, Belagavi, Ghatprabha, Miraj, Sangli, Karad, Satara, Pune, Kalyan, Vasai Road, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Mahesana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Pindwara, Falna, Marwar, Pali Marwar and Luni stations in both directions.

The train will have a composition of 20 coaches consisting of two AC-2 tier, 16 AC-3 tier and two Luggage-cum-Brake Vans with generator cars.
