Stephen Curry looks back on his NBA career and life in his new memoir Shot Ready
While flipping through the pages of his newly launched memoir, Shot Ready, Stephen Curry reflected on his NBA career and life. The Golden State Warriors star was nostalgic while talking about how far he has come in his life. He said, “I never imagined I’d be here when those pictures were taken.
But they tell the whole story -not just the basketball journey, but the life journey. And I hope they speak to anyone going through something of their own.”
On stumbling upon an old picture with his trainer, Bruce Q Frazier, during a warmup session, the NBA icon further added, “We’ve been doing that for over a decade, but in that photo, we’re smiling like it’s our first time. That’s the energy we’ve always brought. We joke about it because, honestly, you make decisions based on what you know at the time.
And like you said, you never really know how things will play out. But once they drafted me, there was no hesitation. I was all in on making the Bay my home.”The NBA champion concluded the interview with, “In life, we try to control every outcome and overthink every move - and that’s fine, that’s human. But when life hands you an opportunity, you have to go all in. That’s one of my favorite parts of this whole story.”Each picture in Stephen Curry’s memoir, Shot Ready, tells a story. They not only hold his profound memories but also laughter and struggle to solidify his space in the NBA. Shot Ready is currently available on Amazon.
