Iga Swiatek has emerged as Wimbledon’s eighth consecutive first-time champion on the grass courts of the All England Club, defeating Amanda Anisimova in two straight and perfect sets on Saturday.
Swiatek wiped the grass courts clean in two straight sets of 6-0, 6-0 within an hour to embarrass the American, who stood no chance.

The recent winners list includes Garbiñe Muguruza (2017), Angelique Kerber (2018), Simona Halep (2019), Ash Barty (2021), Elena Rybakina (2022), Marketa Vondrousova (2023), and Barbora Krejcikova (2024).
And now, Iga Swiatek joins the elite list, having clinched their maiden Wimbledon title.
