India’s Ambassador to the U.S., Vinay Kwatra, has announced a major expansion of consular services across the United States.

Beginning on August 1, 2025, nine new Indian Consular Application Centers will open in cities including Boston, Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, Edison, Orlando, Raleigh, San Jose, and Los Angeles.

All centers will now operate on Saturdays to improve accessibility. Several miscellaneous consular services will also be streamlined and offered through these centers. Kwatra emphasized that the expansion aims to strengthen India-U.S. people-to-people ties.
