India monsoon LIVE: Landslide blocks Nandprayag route in Uttarakhand days after Uttarkashi cloudburst

Work is going on to open the road blocked due to the landslide in Nandprayag in Chamoli district following rainfall days after the cloudburst in Uttarkahsi which left behind a trail of destruction. A massive mudslide struck Dharali village in the Kheer Gad area near Harsil, triggering a sudden flow of debris and water through the settlements on August 5. The cloudburst led to flash floods in the high-altitude villages of Dharali.

The IMD has issued a warning of possible thunderstorms, lightning, and rainfall in several regions of Haryana and Punjab between 8:01 a.m. and 11:01 a.m. on Monday (August 11, 2025). 

The weather office here issued on Sunday an orange warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh from Monday to Thursday. 

The IMD has issued a warning of “heavy to very heavy rainfall” at isolated locations across several Telangana districts from Sunday until August 17.

    Fairly widespread rain likely in North and South Coastal A.P. from August 13

    The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Amaravati, has given a ‘fairly widespread’ rainfall forecast for North and South Coastal A.P. from August 13, and ‘heavy to very heavy rainfall’ forecast for the two regions on August 15 and 16.

    An orange alert has been issued for the districts of Alluri Sitharama Raju, Prakasam, Palnadu, Krishna, Guntur, NTR, West Godavari and Eluru on the two days.
