India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), under the Department of Posts, has launched doorstep Digital Life Certificate (DLC) services through its extensive postal network across Telangana Circle.
Pensioners from Central, State governments and other organisations such as EPFO, Defence, Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) and beedi workers can now submit their DLC (Jeevan Pramaan) seamlessly from the comfort of their homes, without visiting banks or offices.
The service is facilitated through IPPB postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks equipped with biometric devices. Pensioners can book doorstep service through the nearest Post Office or via IPPB toll-free number 155299 or through the Post Info mobile app.
Using Aadhaar-based biometric authentication, the Digital Life Certificate is generated instantly and shared with the Pension Disbursing Agency. The facility is available across all 23 IPPB branches and 6,256 access points (post offices) in Telangana, ensuring last-mile service delivery even in rural areas.
The doorstep DLC service can be availed at a nominal charge of ₹70 inclusive of GST, ensuring affordability and accessibility for all pensioners, according to D.Veena Kumari, Chief Post Master General, Telangana Circle.
Through the post office and IPPB’s vast network and doorstep banking model, IPPB is committed to empowering pensioners with digital access and convenience. The DLC service is another step towards inclusive digital banking and citizen-centric service delivery, Ms.Veena Kumari said, adding that pensioners can contact the nearest post office or IPPB branch for more details and to avail the service.
