Emphasising that innovation must be guided by real-world needs, inclusivity and ethical considerations rather than technology alone, U.S. Consul General Ms. Laura Williams on Monday said India–U.S. collaboration is focused on advanced and frontier technology domains.
Ms. Williams was speaking at an interactive session with startups and young professionals at the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH), during her visit to Amaravati. She said bilateral cooperation between India and the U.S. is evolving beyond conventional technology partnerships to areas such as AI, quantum technologies, cyber security and responsible data usage.
The Consul General held discussions with RTIH leadership and team members to understand the Hub’s vision, ongoing initiatives and its role in nurturing innovation-led entrepreneurship in A.P., particularly startups addressing societal and public-good challenges.
As part of the engagement, several RTIH-supported startups made presentations on their work in AI, data-driven platforms and advanced technology applications. The presentations highlighted how innovators are leveraging cutting-edge technologies to develop scalable solutions.
Welcoming the delegation, RTIH CEO P. Dhatri Reddy said such international engagements provide valuable global perspectives to local startups and open avenues for long-term collaboration and knowledge exchange.
