Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan on Tuesday shared details of Operation Sindoor, stating that India had notified Pakistan five minutes after conducting strikes on terror camps and military installations.
Notably, General Chauhan’s remarks clarified the concerns raised by the Congress, which had accused the Centre of committing a “crime" by allegedly providing advance information to Pakistan about Operation Sindoor.
“We had informed Pakistan on the day we launched the strikes (May 7). We did the strike between 1 am and 1.30 am. After five minutes of concluding the operations, we called Pakistan to say we had done this," said General Chahuhan while delivering a special lecture on ‘Future Wars and Warfare’ organised by Savitribai Phule Pune University.
