Frankie Muniz will not be driving at the Craftsman Truck Series race this weekend at Darlington Raceway in a shock and disappointment to many NASCAR fans, as well as to the Reaume Brothers Racing team.
The actor-turned-driver's been making his much-anticipated debut this season. After a fall at his home, Muniz suffered a distal radius fracture in his wrist, prompting him to withdraw from competition this weekend.
How Frankie Muniz’s accident happened and his response
Frankie Muniz was injured in a non-racing incident at his Arizona home on the morning of August 27, 2025. The 39-year-old was changing batteries for his Ring security camera when he fell from the top of a ladder.
The fall went on to break his wrist, specifically a distal radius fracture, which is a break of the large bone in the forearm at the wrist joint.
On August 28, Muniz went to social media to tell fans about his condition, “The phrase "FML" (Frankie Muniz's Life) takes on new meaning with moments like these. I'm disappointed to share that I won’t be racing at Darlington this weekend or for the next few weeks due to a distal radius fracture.”
The actor-driver admitted to being "gutted" to miss the races, but said he was grateful that the injury wasn't more serious and thanked his team and Ford Performance for their understanding. Also Read: Breaking: Kaulig Racing set to lead Ram’s 2026 NASCAR Truck Series return in 2026
