Inter railway vigilance team holds meeting to enhance railway operations and monitor employee conduct

VARANASI: A meeting was organised at the Divisional Railway Manager's Office of the North Eastern Railway (NER) on Friday. Led by Kuldeep Kumar Jain, Senior Deputy General Manager of Western Railway, the Inter Railway Vigilance Team met with Divisional Railway Manager Ashish Jain and other divisional officers. The purpose of the meeting was to enhance railway operations and monitor employee conduct. The meeting included an in-depth discussion on improving the vigilance department, fostering innovation, and introducing transparency in work methods in the digital age.The meeting was attended by Chief Vigilance Officer (Signal and Telecom) Sumit Hansrajani, Chief Vigilance Officer (Stores) Rajeev Kumar, Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer Duke Biswas, Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer Arun, Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer Anita, and Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer (Mechanical) of North Eastern Railway A.P. Pandey, Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer (Engineering) Ajay Kumar Singh, Assistant Vigilance Officer (Traffic) Mukesh Kumar, along with all senior officials of the Varanasi Division.Ajay Singh, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Infra), introduced the assets and management of the Varanasi Division through a PowerPoint presentation. The meeting presented concrete suggestions for vigilance-related issues, their solutions, and improvements in work methodology. Jain emphasised the need for prompt resolution of vigilance matters with fairness and transparency. The vigilance officers from Western Railway shared their experiences and thoughts in the field of vigilance.

The meeting focused on measures to prevent, detect, and ensure transparency and accountability in corruption and irregularities. The vigilance department works to prevent corruption and misconduct. Such meetings aim to improve railway operations, monitor employee behaviour, and prevent fraud. The vigilance team can investigate various railway areas, such as irregularities at ticket counters, and take appropriate action.
