Ahead of his 23rd NBA season, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar shared a candid locker room lesson during an episode of Everybody’s Crazy, the podcast hosted by his wife Savannah James and April McDaniel.
The 40-year-old opened up about the harsh realities of modern relationships and warned men to stay cautious of what he called “cutthroat, ruthless a*s b**ches.”

The four-time NBA champion didn’t hold back as he reflected on what he’s seen and heard over his long career. In his candid chat with his wife, Savannah James, LeBron James shared, “It’s some cutthroat, ruthless ass bitches out here right now, too.”“Listen, I sit in the locker room and s*** now, and it’s a lot of women out here that’s now kinda flipped the script and, you know, some homies out here trying to be good, too, trying to figure it out and now they lookin’ in the mirror saying, ‘Damn what did I do wrong?’”

He’s returning to the Lakers on a $52.6 million player option, though a lingering sciatica issue will keep him sidelined for the start of the 2025–26 campaign.Still, his leadership, both on the hardwood and in the locker room, will be invaluable for the Lakers, aiming for the championship. James was playing at his elite level last season, recording an average of 24.4 points per game, 7.8 rebounds, and 8.2 assists. If James recovers soon and he is expected to be an excellent support for Luka Doncic and the rest of the team.
