During Friday’s episode of her “Show Me Something” podcast, Sophie Cunningham discussed the CBA talks and their recently approved 30-day extension, which has kept the negotiations active.
She explained how she had learned new details about how the process actually works. She also added that she found the entire process interesting to observe. “I actually learned a lot because we have been having CPA calls. So I thought that if we didn’t have an agreement by the 31st, then it was a lockout, but that’s not true. It’s been fascinating to see the ins and outs of the negotiation conversations. It’s been kind of cool just to sit back and listen”, Cunningham said.

While discussing the CBA, Sophie Cunningham also sparked speculation about her own playing future. She admitted she is already thinking about her “next team.”“I think the next team I play for, I want a bigger contract, so then I can buy a house,” Cunningham revealed. West Wilson playfully listed possible destinations, “Wow. That’s crazy. That could be the Liberty. It could be New York City, Lynx, and it could be Minneapolis. Like, you just don’t know. Could be anywhere.”Notably, Cunningham’s 1-year, $100,000 contract with the Fever ended this season, making her a free agent. Meanwhile, with a new CBA likely to raise salary caps, she could be heading to a new team and a much bigger payday. Also Read: Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham show gal pal support on Indiana Fever teammate's stunning bikini photos
