Jagan peddling false numbers on construction of Amaravati, says Minority Affairs Adviser Shariff

Taking strong exception to the opposition’s smear campaign against Amaravati, Government Adviser on Minority Affairs Mohammed Ahmed Shariff lambasted YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for peddling fake numbers about the cost of construction of the capital city, attributing it to the desire to derive political benefit by spreading false narratives.

Addressing the media at the TDP central office, near Mangalagiri, on Friday, Mr. Shariff said the YSRCP leadership was unable to digest the rapid pace of works in Amaravati and that it apparently did not learn lessons from its defeat in the 2024 elections.
