Jake Dennis and Felipe Drugovich spend their break playing golf in Mexico, Andretti rookie jokes about being a “triple digit handicaper”

Andretti teammates Jake Dennis and Felipe Drugovich made full use of their free time in Mexico by heading out to the golf course. The two drivers appear to have played plenty of golf together on the sidelines of the Mexico City E-Prix, glimpses of which were also shared on Instagram.

While Dennis had a fairly solid race on track and finished fifth, Drugovich would want to forget his outing after ending the race in 15th position. This season marks Drugovich’s rookie campaign in Formula E Season 12.

Jake Dennis shared a video from his and Felipe Drugovich’s golf session on Instagram and captioned it: “A day off in Mexico only results in one thing! @felipedrugovich.” Dennis seems to have developed a deep love for golf, even saying at one point in the video, “My club is my baby.”A comment from Formula E’s official Instagram handle read, “Ryder Cup next?” Drugovich also reacted to the post by commenting, “Triple digit handicapers.”

Fans were quick to react to the light-hearted post. One fan asked, “Most importantly who won?” Another wrote, “Great to see you are getting some good golf practice before the racing and having fun too.” One more commented, “Nothing beats a swing like that on a day off.

Perfect setting for a great round.” Another fan added a humorous remark about Drugovich, saying, “The other one looks so small around Jake.”Dennis later shared a picture from the golf session on his Instagram Stories as well, writing, “Evening round with the boys.”

After opening the season with a win in Sao Paulo, Jake Dennis, 30, followed it up with a fifth-place finish at the Mexico City E-Prix. The Briton also recorded the fastest lap of the race.

He is currently second in the Formula E Drivers’ Standings, just four points behind championship leader Nick Cassidy.Unfortunately, Felipe Drugovich didn’t enjoy a successful race weekend in Mexico. The Brazilian started from 17th on the grid and could only manage a 15th-place finish in the race. Sharing his disappointment on Instagram, the Andretti rookie wrote, “Race to forget. Good first half of the race and after a problem that caused me to go to the bottom of the line, I couldn’t recover from the energy I had. Let's go to the next one.
