JD(S) workers celebrate Prajwal Revanna’s birthday in Hassan’s Holenarasipur

The workers of the Janata Dal (Secular) party celebrated the birthday of former MP Prajwal Revanna, who has been convicted for offences including rape, in Holenarasipur of Hassan district on Tuesday. Prajwal Revanna turned 35 on Tuesday.

The workers distributed fruits to the patients at the government hospital in the town. “We are distributing fruits and bread for the patients at the hospital to mark Prajwal Revanna’s birthday. We pray the almighty to bless him with good health and prosperity,” a worker addressing the gathering said.

They raised slogans praising former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, former Minister H.D. Revanna, and the JD(S) party.

A special court, on August 2, sentenced Prajwal Revanna to life imprisonment for raping a domestic worker. He represented the Hassan constituency in Lok Sabha between 2019 and 2024. He lost the election in 2024.
