Jharkhand Teacher Aspirants Demand Recruitment for 26,001 Vacant Posts Amidst Controversy

Ranchi: Assistant teacher aspirants on Sunday staged a dharna near Raj Bhavan, demanding recruitment in all 26,001 posts announced by the state govt, publication of the merit list, and the scorecard of the examination, among other things.An aspirant, Rahul Kumar Kranti, said, “Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission announced vacancies for 26,001 posts but filled only 9,448 so far, leaving 16,553 seats vacant, though there is an acute shortage of teachers in the state.”Appointments were done without issuing the merit list and the scorecard. The aspirants were kept out of the recruitment process after document verification. JSSC issued a revised list of successful candidates for the posts of intermediate trained assistant teachers, leaving out candidates selected earlier without providing reason, he alleged.The aspirants handed over memorandums addressed to Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and chief minister Hemant Soren to an official.
