Jimmy Kimmel, the renowned American comedian and TV show host, found himself in the middle of a barrage of political shots – with the fan-favorite talk show ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ being suspended indefinitely.
The network announced the striking news on Wednesday (local time) after the 57-year-old made ‘controversial’ comments about the late conservative and right-wing activist, Charlie Kirk.

As the report surfaced on social media, many netizens questioned the decision, while many pointed out that one of the tweets made by the deceased social activist in 2017. With reference to any context or incident, Charlie Kirk wrote, “Jimmy Kimmel isn’t funny,” on October 6, 2017.
While the comment took fans by surprise, his supporters mentioned that “he won.”
One comment said, “Still winning from above,” while another mentioned, “Kimmel has been fired. RETRIBUTION.”
A third user said, “Not funny or honest. Or employed.”
A fourth user pointed out, “You were always ahead of the curve.”

After Kirk’s demise, Kimmel addressed the political fires between the troops, accusing Vice President JD Vance of blaming the left wing without any evidence, and calling out ‘MAGA-land’ for using his death as a way to complete their gains. On Tuesday, Kimmel said, “Who wanted to hang the guy before you? Was that the liberal army or the toothless army that stormed the Capitol on January 6?” Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump congratulated ABC on having the courage to cancel Jimmy Kimmel’s show, calling him ‘ZERO talent.’ Furthermore, he asked the other network to cancel the remaining shows of famous hosts, Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers.
