About John Abraham

Born on December 17, 1972 in Bombay into a mixed family, his father is a Malayali Syrian Christian and mother is an Irani Zoroastrian.

He grew up in Mumbai, studies at Bombay Scottish School. He went to Jai Hind College , University of Mumbai for graduation and then got an MBA degree from NMIMS, Mumbai.In 2003 John made his acting debut with the movie ‘Jism’, starring Bipasha Basu and Gulshan Grover. Then in 2004 he got his breakthrough movie ‘Dhoom’ as the main antagonist. Over the years, he has built a strong connection with audiences through movies like ‘Satyamev Jayate’, ‘Pathaan’, ‘Desi Boyz’, ‘Housefull 2’, ‘Race 2’, ‘Vedda’ and many more.

On the work front

John was recently seen in ‘The Diplomat’, Directed by Shivam Nair. The movie is inspired by real events, starring Sadia Khateeb, Jagjeet Sandhu, Kumud Mishra, Sharib Hashmi, Revathy and Ashwath Bhatt. He will be seen in upcoming ‘Tariq’ and he will also be seen in the biopic of Rakesh Maria, directed by Rohit Shetty.
