The Baltimore Ravens didn’t just lose a close game on Sunday night. They left the field with their entire season suddenly feeling unstable. A 28-24 loss to the New England Patriots dropped Baltimore into a dangerous spot in the playoff race, but the bigger concern came earlier in the night when Lamar Jackson was forced out with a back injury. Jackson exited in the second quarter and never returned.

Without their two-time MVP, the Ravens struggled to find consistency, and what began as a tight matchup slowly turned into a worrying night for a team fighting to stay alive in the AFC. As fans processed the loss, attention quickly shifted from the scoreboard to Jackson’s health and what it could mean for the final two games of the season. The injury sparked immediate reaction across the league, including a harsh and emotional post from former Steelers nose tackle Breiden Fehoko, who offered a blunt assessment of Baltimore’s situation.

"John Harbaugh needs to be fired. Lamar needs to be traded for whatever they can get while he’s still young. Front office needs to be gone. Baltimore needs a total reset."

Inside the Ravens locker room, the tone was far different. Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley, who took over for Jackson in the second half, described how difficult it was to watch his teammate struggle physically. “He (Lamar Jackson) was bummed,” Huntley said.

“He could barely move.”The broadcast only added to the concern. Commentators noted that Jackson appeared to have trouble walking as he headed back to the locker room, raising doubts about whether he could return before the season ends. After the game, Jackson addressed reporters and kept his answers cautious. When asked if he expected to be ready for the upcoming matchup against the Green Bay Packers, he made it clear nothing was guaranteed.

"Yeah, that's the goal," Jackson said. "We're going to do a little [MRI] scan [Monday] and then see what it shows."Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton acknowledged how difficult life is without their quarterback, while still showing faith in the backups. "It'd be a challenge," Hamilton said. "You're talking about losing a guy who's a multitime MVP and one of the best in the league. But I have the utmost confidence in 'Snoop' [Huntley] and 'Coop' [Cooper Rush]. We beat a Bears team with 'Snoop' at the helm, and you can see what kind of team they are now.

"As Baltimore prepares for its final two games, the season now hinges on Lamar Jackson's medical updates, recovery timelines and whether their leader can make it back in time.
