Jubilee Hills bypoll: ₹10 lakh cash seized, ₹21.21 lakh released

The District Grievance Committee (DGC), Hyderabad, has released seized cash worth ₹21.21 lakhs after verifying the genuineness of claims.

The DGC, constituted under the directions of the District Election Officer, Hyderabad, is actively holding hearings to expedite the release of legitimate seized cash and articles.

Meanwhile, flying squad teams (FSTs) deployed for election surveillance have seized unaccounted cash amounting to over ₹10 lakh during separate operations on Wednesday.

On the other hand, a total of 35 nominations have been filed by 30 candidates so far. BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha filed her nomination, marking the second nomination filing on the third day of the process.
