Karishma Tanna urges fans to celebrate Diwali mindfully, says 'air turns grey, pets hide under bed'

Actress Karishma Tanna urged fans to rethink Diwali celebrations, highlighting the distress firecrackers cause to people, animals, and the environment. She questioned the tradition's true meaning, advocating for celebrations filled with laughter, diyas, and warmth instead of noise and pollution. Tanna encouraged a shift towards conscious festivities, emphasizing peace and kindness over chaos and fear.

Actress Karishma Tanna recently used her social media platform to urge her fans and followers to rethink how festivals are celebrated, sharing a heartfelt message about the emotional and environmental impact of firecrackers, especially during Diwali. She highlighted how such loud celebrations disrupt not only people but also animals and the environment. In her Instagram story on Saturday, October 25, Karishma expressed her frustration at waking up early to the sound of firecrackers. She wrote, "At 6 in the morning, I woke up to the sound of firecrackers exploding in the sky. While the world was trying to rest, someone was still celebrating NOISE."Questioning the real meaning of these festivities, she opened up about the negative effects of firecrackers on air quality, pets, and even birds.

She wrote, "It made me stop and think - what are we really celebrating when our air turns grey, our pets hide under the bed, and tiny birds lose their sense of direction? Is this joy... or just habit? We're teaching kids that loud means happy, that smoke means festive, that it's okay to scare animals and choke our own skies because 'Everyone does it'.

Karishma encouraged people to celebrate in a more conscious and meaningful way.

She suggested, "What if celebration meant awareness? What if we filled our nights with laughter, diyas, and warmth - not explosives that leave behind fear and fumes?" She concluded her note by urging, "Celebrate light, not noise. Peace, not pollution. Kindness, not chaos."Apologizing for posting a little late, she added, "Sorry it’s a lil late post but these crackers don’t stop and I had to put it up. #SayNoToCrackers, #ForOurPlanet, and #BeTheChange."In the spirit of Diwali, Karishma also shared a series of beautiful photos with her husband Varun Bangera, celebrating the festival with joy and positivity. She wrote, "Lights. Laughter. Love. That’s what this Diwali (and life) should be all about. आप सबके जीवन में खुशियाँ, प्यार और सफलता के दीप जलते रहें. With love & light, Karishma & Varun."
