Karnataka: Bhim Army to take out route march in support of Minister Priyank Kharge in Chittapur

The youth wing of the Bhim Army –Bharath Ekta Mission will be expressing solidarity to Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Priyank Kharge by hosting a counter demonstration, ‘Bhim Path Sanchalan’ (route march) against the RSS’s scheduled Path Sanchalan in the Ministers home town, Chittapur, on Sunday.

Santhosh Pala, State president of Bhim Army’s youth wing, addressing presspersons here on Saturday, said that Mr. Kharge demanded that RSS activities not be allowed on government properties, but he did not mention totally banning the RSS organisation. The supporters of RSS misinterpreted this and made threatening and abusive calls to Mr. Kharge, he said.

Mr. Kharge vowed to fight against the extremists and divisive forces associated with RSS to protect the secular democratic fabric. The leader’s commitments are rooted in ideology, rather than politics, and such threatening calls cannot cow him down, Mr. Pala added.

The RSS has decided to take out Path Sanchalan in Chittapur constituency on Sunday. The Bhim Army will hold Bhim Path Sanchalan at Chittapur on the same day, Mr. Pala stated.
